  • I have been a practicing barrister since 1988.
  • I was appointed Deputy District Court Judge in 2002, 2006, 2008.

Currently serving as:-

  1. Chairman of Appeal Board Panel (Education),
  2. Appeal Tribunal Panel (Buildings) and
  3. Member of Bar Disciplinary Tribunal Panel.

Professional Qualifications:

  1. Practicing Barrister (Since 1988)
  2. LLB (Law and Politics) graduate of University of Birmingham
  3. Called to the Bar (Middle Temple 1988) and Hong Kong Bar (1988)
  4. Admitted as advocate and solicitor of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Singapore (Since 1994)
  5. Appointed Deputy District Court Judge 2002, 2006 and 2008
  6. Holder of Certificate of Mediation November-December 2001 Advance Mediation Training Course (The Accord Group, Australia for the Hong Kong Mediation Council)
  7. On the panel of list of Mediators of the Hong Kong Bar Association
  8. On the panel of list of Arbitrators of the Hong Kong Bar Association

  1. Chairman of Appeal Board Panel (Education) Under S.59(1) of the Education Ordinance (Cap.279) (Since 2013)
  2. Chairman of Appeal Tribunal Panel under S.48 of Building Ordinance (Cap.123) (Since 2009)
  3. Member of Barristers Disciplinary Tribunal Panel (Since 2011)
  4. Chairman of Panel and Member of the Disciplinary Panel A of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA) (2009 – 2015)
  5. Member of Review Body on Bid Challenges under the World Trade Organisation Agreement on Government Procurement (WTO GPA) (2004-2009)
  6. Member of the Inland Revenue Board of Review (2006 – 2009)
1. HK$10,000 per half day (3 hours), HK$20,000 per one day (6 hours) session.
2. An hourly rate of $2,000 shall be applicable for perusal of papers, correspondence or preparation.
3. A minimum of half day shall be reserved for each mediation session and payable regardless of the mediation outcome or early termination of the mediation.
